This case study is a learning on how the active participation of the local actors during an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 Richter scale that struck Nepal on 25th, and 29th April 2015 causing around 9000 death casualties and 22000 injuries helped in providing efficient support to the victims of the earthquake. DEPROSC-Nepal in coordination with OXFAM through Nepal Earthquake recovery and reconstruction project contributed to the food security and livelihood interventions to assist households recover and build resilience to potential recurring earthquake shocks.
