AFRI-YOUTH NETWORK – AYN
Afri-Youth Network is a refugee led Community-Based Organization (CBO) operating in Yumbe District, Northern Uganda and working to inspire, mentor and empower youths to become self-reliant and be sustainable, social, economic and spiritually developed. Afri-Youth Network was founded in October 2020 by a South Sudanese Refugee youth, Storyteller, A winner of prestigious Mother Tereza memorial Award for social just 2022, on compassion beyond borders for Refugee children and Human Right Defender Mr. Malish James and the other four Refugee youths in the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement.
AYN OBJECTIVES
- To provide equal platform for youths to express their opinions on issues that matters to their wellbeing.
- To empower youths in social, technology and economic activities.
- To advocate for unity and peaceful coexistence among youth in the settlement and beyond.
- To combat poverty and strive to attain sustainable development goal in the settlement.

Our Impact in the Community
- we are able to training more than 50 youths on digital storytelling,
- 23 young entrepreneurs in the Bidibidi Refugee Settlement Zone 1 got business skills and startup capital of about Ugx 1,500,000/= each inform of community based micro-loan, and the money doesn’t come back to us as an organization but rotates within the community and they are doing better in their businesses.
