As a community of practice, the practice group is being run by a core group of Oxfam staff and local and national NGOs and local humanitarian agencies on a voluntary and rotational basis. Since the group is still new, the group continue to have a core group that stays informal in nature, but pays attention to the issues raised by the group during the monthly meetings and during email discussions.  The larger practice group takes a ‘whole of society approach’, where all the members are responsible for keeping the group running and making the engagements relevant.
